During the Computex 2018, Cryorig showed a full range of coolers including a new version of the C7 and a M.2 NVMe SSD heatsink. We have seen several motherboard manufacturers equip M.2 SSDs with heatsinks. Cryorig has shown the "industry's first dual heatpipe M.2 cooler," the Frostbit.
The Frostbit heatsink features a thin heatpipe installed in the base of the cooler. The heatpipe pulls the heat into the heatsink which sports several aluminum fins. If you have a huge high-end GPU installed on your motherboard, you will not run into any compatibility issues. Cryorig allows you to adjust the cooler and offset it from the GPU. This heatsink reminds us of the old heatsinks made by Thermalright for Intel LGA775 chipsets. Once again, we are looking at a solid and huge block for tiny chips.
The heatsink measures 72 x 27 x 57mm and due to the 72mm length, the cooler is designed to cover just the components placed on the SSD and not the entire PCB. In this way the Frostbit will not interfere with mounting screw or with the M.2 slot. Furthermore the company has shown its H7 Quad Lumi, C7cu and C7 RGB coolers. The C7 and C7 RGB are almost the same cooler, the main difference regards the fan (which is RGB in the C7 RGB cooler) and the material used for the cooling block. While the C7cu sports a copper block, the C7 RGB is made out aluminum. Both coolers are designed for SFF builds or HTPCs.
The H7 Quad Lumi CPU cooler is the company's flagship offering, it features four 6mm copper heatpipes with several aluminum fins. The cooler sports NZXT CAM Powered Lumi Lighting System as well as a QF120 LED fan. The H7 Quad Lumi also incorporates an RGB controller into its design. So far Cryorig has not revealed details on pricing and availability on their upcoming coolers, but we are sure we will know more during next weeks.
