EVGA has posted a teaser regarding their upcoming GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid graphics card, which is going to feature a hybrid liquid cooler. According to the latest rumors, this card is supposed to feature a full custom design with an all-in-one liquid cooling unit taking care of the GPU and active cooling for the VRMs.
Like the previous GTX 1080 FTW3 Hybrid graphics card, also the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid might use a 120mm AiO cooler. Already a few weeks ago, EVGA has launched the GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid which is based on a reference PCB and the upcoming model should comes with a custom PCB. Nevertheless, at the moment there is no precise information on that yet. While the standard fan takes care of the VRM and memory, the 120mm AIO cooler only cools the GPU itself and an additional fan has to deal with the VRMs and the memory chips.
Since the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid is factory-overclocked, we expect to see something similar in the case of the GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid. Furthermore the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING came with a higher overclock than the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING. Therefore it’s safe to assume that EVGA might do the same regarding the GTX 1080 Ti series. The EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid works with 1569MHz/1684MHz Core/Boost clocks and the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition is set to 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, in our opinion the new FTW3 Hybrid might easily hit 1600 MHz on the core.
The teaser doesn't show much, however the card appears to feature a black plastic shroud, which differs from the silver one, that we can be found on the SC2 model.
