MSI introduces GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk GPUs

With hybrid liquid cooler

MSI has introduced their new GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk X and Sea Hawk graphics cards and both cards come with a liquid cooling block on the GPU and active cooling for the VRM. Including these two new graphics cards, MSI has now eight different GTX 1080 Ti pixel accelerators in its portfolio.

The Sea Hawk from MSI has been equipped with a Corsair Hydro 55 AIO cooler and usually there is a reference PCB. While the standard blower takes care of the VRM and memory, the Corsair Hydro 55 cools the GPU chip itself. The MSI GTX 1080 Ti Hawk series is available with stock clocks and overclocked. While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, the factory-overclocked MSI GTX 1080 Ti Hawk X clocks with 1544MHz/1657MHz Core/Boost. Due to the good cooler and the factory overclock, the MSI GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk X should provide extreme gaming performance.

Both cards need one 6-pin and and 8-pin PCIe power connector from a power supply. Regarding connectors we find the usual three DisplayPorts 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port. As of today there is no precise date available when these cards will hit the shelves of your local retailer but they should become available in mid-April. So far there is also no information on the pricing.
