The Radeon Pro Duo is the most powerful AMD graphics card that you can buy so far and due to the fact that the launch of AMD’s Vega architecture appears to happen in May 2017 e-tailers want to get rid of the Radeon Pro Duo cards.
Apparently not all shops are offering the same discounts. On Newegg for example you can find the Radeon Pro Duo with 46% deduction from its initial $1499 US price tag. In other words you can buy this dual-GPU card now for 799 US-Dollar in Newegg’s North American as well as Asian Pacific stores. A quick look at Amazon reveals that the card is available there with a discount as well but it’s by far not as much as you get on Newegg. Nevertheless Amazon sells the Radeon Pro Duo for $1349 US, which is a 10% deduction.
Looking for deducted AMD Radeon Pro Duo cards in Europe is a bit harder though. Checking the price comparison portal Geizhals we still see the card listed for 1500 Euro, which is the standard list price.
With the Radeon Pro Duo AMD is offering a solid dual-GPU solution which was based on the meanwhile old 28nm process. The card packs 8192 stream processors which are able to offer 16.38 TFLOPs of FP32 compute power and 4GB of HBM1 memory per GPU. Although this model will soon be part of the AMD's history it still performs excellently.
Additionally also the Radeon R9 Fury X graphics card can be found with rather significant discounts. The original MSRP of this model was set to $650 US and meanwhile it can be found for as little as $308 US on Amazon. This price is almost in proximity to a custom RX 480 which sells for about 20% less.
