Although the video card market is becoming increasingly crowded, Zotac is readying another high-end card as well. The new GeForce GTX 1070 Mini is based on a custom design with a dual-slot heatsink, whereas the cooler is the same that you can find on GTX 1060 AMP! as well.
The GeForce GTX 1070 Mini features a compact PCB which measures only 21 centimeters in length while the entire card measures 30 centimeters. According to Zotac, this model it's perfect for mini-ITX and SFF systems. The cooler is made from aluminum with two 8mm copper heatpipes. The air is pushed through the cooler from two 80mm fans. The card uses reference frequencies in order to keep the heat and the power down. Like the Founders Edition, this card also comes with three DisplayPorts 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port.
Although this model should be compatible with SFF cases, we believe that in combination with most models it’s still too long. According to the pictures, it looks like the PCB is taller compared to a standard GTX 1070 graphics card and a length of 30 centimeters is not exactly short.
The GeForce GTX 1070 Mini should hit the market very soon with a price of $389 US.
