Samsung has expanded its curved gaming monitor lineup by two curved gaming monitors. Both feature 144Hz refresh rate and are therefore perfect for first person shooter games. For better color reproduction the panels feature Samsung’s proprietary Quantum Dot technology. Apart from that the new displays are compatible with AMD FreeSync.
The displays feature a high-quality VA panel with Quantum Dot technology and a moving picture response time (MPST) of 1ms. The refresh rate is set to 144Hz and there is also support for AMD’s FreeSync technology. In order to offer 125% sRGB colour gamut Samsung uses their proprietary Quantum Dot technology, which is able to convert blue LED light into highly saturated primary colours. On top of that Quantum Dot also allows for higher brightness than with traditional LCD displays.
The new Samsung's CFG70 monitors will come in a 24-inch as wells as a 27-inch flavor and 1800R curvature. The only downside of this display is the resolution as both models feature 1080p. It appears that Samsung is also working on a 21:9 monitor with 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution and 100Hz refresh rate. This display is called CF791 and should hit the market somewhen next year.
Checking for prices the CFG70 with 24-inch panel can be found on Geizhals for 353 Euro, whereas the 27-inch version will set you back 471 Euro.
