Nvidia releases Geforce 376.09 WHQL Game Ready drivers
For Watch Dogs 2 and couple of other games
Following the launch of Ubisoft's new Watch Dogs 2 game on PC, Nvidia has also new Geforce Game Ready 376.09 WHQL drivers which should provide optimal experience for that game as well as upcoming Dead Rising 4 and Steep games.
Unfortunately, Nvidia did not provide any official release notes so we do not know if any other SLI profiles or bug fixes are included with the new drivers. Currently, we only know that these new Geforce 376.09 WHQL drivers bring optimizations for Watch Dogs 2, which launches today, as well as Dead Rising 4 and Steep games, launching in December.
As detailed earlier, Nvidia has been working with Ubisoft on Watch Dogs 2 game and it will feature plenty of Nvidia GameWorks effects. The game is also a part of Nvidia's new Hackers Wanted bundle which gives a free game with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards as well as systems and notebooks based on those graphics cards.
According to details provided by Nvidia, you will need at least a Geforce GTX 1070 in order to run the game at 1920x1080 resolution and very high settings, while GTX 1060 will only get you "high" settings at that same resolution. The Geforce GTX 1080 is a recommended graphics card in case you want to run the game at very high settings and 2560x1440 resolution.
As always, you can download the new Geforce 376.09 WHQL Game Ready drivers over at Nvidia's drivers support page via link below or automatically via Geforce Experience software.
