MSI has unveiled its newest VR Ready Trident Mini PC, a portable gaming system that packs Intel's Skylake Core i5/Core i7 CPU and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card.
MSI describes the Trident as the smallest VR Ready PC system in the world, which does not come as a surprise since the Trident comes in a 4.7L chassis, which is smaller than both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Despite its size, the MSI Trident packs quite more punch with Intel Skylake Core i5-6400 or Core i7-6700 CPU and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 with 3GB or 6GB of memory.
The rest of the specifications include support for up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 memory in two SO-DIMM slots, one 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and one M.2 SATA SSD slot, integrated Intel WGI219V Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2, 230W PSU, single USB 3.1 Type-C and three USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one VR-Link HDMI-out port, couple of USB 2.0 ports and more.
The MSI Trident also features MSI's own Gaming Mystic Light RGB LEDs and comes with a stand, allowing it to be used in both vertical and horizontal position. The Trident does not look half bad and should fit well in any room.
Unfortunately, MSI did not provide any details regarding the price but did note that it should be coming sometime by the end of this month.
