Zotac packs GTX 1080 in its new Magnus mini-PC

The Zotac Magnus EN1080

Celebrating its 10-year anniversary at an event in Hong Kong, Zotac has unveiled a couple of new products including the new Zotac Magnus EN1080 mini-PC that packs quite a punch with Nvidia's GTX 1080 graphics card.

The new Zotac Magnus EN1080 is really impressive considering all the hardware Zotac had to pack in a small form factor (SFF) chassis, including Intel's Core i7-6700 quad-core CPU and Nvidia GTX 1080 on an MXM form-factor.

As it was the case with previous Zotac Magnus SFF systems, this one will also be offered as a barebone leaving it to users to add up to 32GB of DDR4 memory in two SO-DIMM slots as well as a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD or M.2 (PCIe x4) SSD.

Thanks to Nvidia GTX 1080 graphics card, Zotac's Magnus EN1080 actually has two DisplayPort 1.3 and three HDMI 2.0 outputs, allowing it to support up to four displays and making it extremely compatible with VR headset.

In order to keep both the quad-core CPU and GTX 1080 well cooled, Zotac is using a "specially designed liquid cooling thermal system but still packed so it allows an easy upgrade for memory and 2.5-inch and M.2 slots.

The rest of the features and specifications include four USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 and one USB 3.1 Type-C port, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.

Unfortunately, Zotac did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date, but judging from those specifications, we are sure that this one will be everything but cheap.
