Scythe has announced that its third version of the popular Kabuto top-flow CPU cooler is now available.
Coming with a redesigned heatsink and the heatsink structure, the Scythe Kabuto 3 also uses hybrid heatpipe system with two 6mm and three 8mm copper heatpipes. These heatpipes connect the redesigned heatsink to a a nickel-plated copper baseplate.
Scythe also notes that compatibility with high-end memory modules have been upgraded with the Kabuto 3 as well.
The Kabuto 3 also comes equipped with Scythe Glide Stream 120mm PWM fan which spins between 300 and 1400 rpm, pushing 12.93 to 79.0 CFM of air while producing from 4 to 28 dBA of noise.
In addition to cooling any modern Intel LGA775/LGA1xxx or AMD AMx or FMx CPU, the Kabuto 3 also offers additional airflow which cools the surrounding components such as chipset, memory or VRM.
According to Scythe, the Kabuto 3 should be already on European retail/e-tail shelves with a price set at €38.
