Gigabyte unveils GTX 1080 G1.Gaming graphics card

Still no precise clocks

Gigabyte has unveiled its new GTX 1080 G1.Gaming graphics card and has hinted on a couple of other GTX 1080 graphics card that should be coming soon, including the Xtreme Gaming model.

While it still did not reveal any details regarding the actual clocks of the new GTX 1080 G1.Gaming graphics card, Gigabyte did reveal some details, including the fact that it will come with a custom 8+2-phase VRM design and a one-click overclocking via XTREME Engine software.

Gigabyte also detailed its new Windforce 3X cooler with RGB illumination and orange accents that will be located on the shroud. The Windforce 3X cooler will use three copper heatpipes with direct-touch technology, come with three fans that use special fan blade design and feature a metal backplate.

The Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1.Gaming will still need a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector so we do not expect a really high factory-overclock since the GTX 1080 is actual power limited but Gigabyte has also hinted the upcoming GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming which should be a beast.

Hopefully we will hear more about the GTX 1080 lineup as Computex 2016 show is about to heat up.
