Galax teases HOF PCIe SSD again

Coming soon

Galax has once again teased its Hall of Fame PCI-Express SSD, which is near completion, according to the company.

Spotted back at CES 2016 show in January, the HOF PCIe SSD will be using NVMe PCI-Express Gen3 x4 interface but, unfortunately, we still do not have any details regarding the controller or the NAND.

According to the pictures released on Galax's Facebook page, the upcoming HOF PCIe SSD will be based on a HHHL (half-height, half-length) form-factor and feature a full-height white shroud that will most likely act as a heatsink as well.

In addition to pictures, Galax also released a couple of benchmark results showing it hit 2604 MB/s for sequential read and 1351 MB/s for sequential write performance in CrystalDiskMark and slightly less in AS SSD Benchmark.

Earlier, the Galax HOF PCIe SSD was scheduled for release sometime in Q2 2016 and although we still do not have an official release date, the post does say it is near completion.
