Square Enix has unveiled the system hardware requirements for its upcoming Hitman game as well as revealed the new beta launch trailer.
Although the game engine does support DirectX 12, as it was recently revealed by a fact that IO IO Interactive will hold a tutorial session at GDC called Rendering Hitman with DirectX 12, the announced system requirements only lists DirectX 11.
The minimum system requirements start with Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Phenom X4 940 CPU, 8GB of RAM and either Nvidia GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870 graphics card. The recommended system requirements push it up a notch with Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 CPU and either Nvidia GTX 770 or Radeon R9 290 graphics card. Both the recommended and minimum requirements include 64-bit Windows 7 OS.
The system requirements aren't that high considering some recently released games but we honestly hope that IO Interactive did a good job in actually optimizing the game for the PC.
In addition to the system requirements, Hitman got a new trailer for the beta phase which should launch February 12th for the Playstation 4 and February 19th for the PC.
Hitman will be released on March 11th on Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC and it appears that it will be an episodic game with more content released throughout the year.
