LG has announced its newest 34-inch 21:9 aspect ratio UltraWide WQHD 3440x1440 curved monitor that will be based on IPS panel and support for AMD FreeSync, the LG 34UC98.
The 34-inch IPS panel on the LG 34UC98 offer 10-bit (8-bit + A-FRC) color depth and it covers 99 percent of SRGB spectrum. The rest of the anti-glare panel specifications include 5ms GTG response time, 300cd/m2 of maximum brightness, 5M:1 contrast ratio and 178/178 degree viewing angles.
What makes the LG 34UC98 rather interesting is its inputs and outs as it comes with two HDMI, one DisplayPort (which has to be used for FreeSync), two Thunderbolt 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. It also has a support for AMD FreeSync, although with a limited range of 55 to 75Hz, integrated speakers and a cool looking aluminum stand.
The LG 34UC98 should be available soon with a price set at US $1199.99 in the US.
