ASUS has officially unveiled its new AMD 970 chipset based motherboard that will feature new connectivity options like USB 3.1 and NVMe M.2 as well as ASUS' recently introduced Aura RGB lighting, the new ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura.

Based on a AMD's 970 + SB950 chipset and compatible with AMD's AM3+ socket CPUs with TDP of up to 125W, the new ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard four DIMM memory slots with support for up to 32GB of DDR3-2133 memory, has two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots (at x16 or x8/x8), two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and two PCI slots, six SATA 6Gbps ports, Intel Gigabit Ethernet with GameFirst technology, SupremeFX 8-channel audio as well as plenty of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.

What makes the ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard different from earlier available AMD 970 chipset based motherboards is the M.2 Socket 3 PCIe 2.0 x4 slot, two USB 3.1 Type-A ports as well as the recently unveiled Aura RGB lighting system.

It also comes with dedicated water-pump header, ASUS' Fan Xpert control and plenty of other ASUS exclusive features like AI Suite 3, Ai Charger+, USB 3.1 Boost and Disk Unlocker.
