Gigabyte unveils new X170 and X150-series motherboards

With ECC DDR4 support

Gigabyte has released a couple of new X170- and X150-series motherboards with support for Intel Xeon E3-1200 V5 series CPUs as well as ECC DDR4 support on some of them.

Based on Intel's C236 and C232 chipsets, the new Gigabyte X170-series and X150-series motherboards support Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 processor as well as Intel's 6th generation Core i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs. Some of the motherboards also come with ECC DDR4 memory support.

The X150M-PLUS WS and the X150-PLUS WS will be standard C232 chipset based motherboards, while the X150M-PRO ECC, X150-PRO ECC and the X170-EXTREME ECC will offer ECC DDR4 support as well.

In addition to support for Intel Xeon and ECC DDR4 support, the new Gigabyte workstation motherboards also offer M.2 PCIe x4 slot, Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet on some models, USB 3.1 Type-C and Type-A ports and a lot of other both gaming and workstation related features.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date.
