Roberts Space Industries, a developer behind the crowd funded Star Citizen game, has already announced its close cooperation with Saitek for a custom HOTAS controller and it appears that it should go on sale as of next month, with a price of US $350.
The new controller has now been further detailed by the developer showing its custom modular design, integrated trackballs on the throttle and stick, as well as an ability to pair it up with a matching ten-keyless keyboard and a separate keypad with OLED display.
According to the developer, the idea is that you willbe able to split the unit apart and combine it with other devices and be able to play Star Citizen with any combination, like joystick and a keyboard, joystick and throttle stick, two joysticks or any other.
The new Saitek HOTAS controller is called Atom and it should go on sale on December 16th, making it an ideal gift for holidays. The stick and throttle will be priced at US $149.99 while the keyboard will sell for US $199.99. First 2000 sold units will be signed by Chris Roberts, which makes it a unique collectible.
