New ASUS Geforce GTX 950 OC White spotted

Coming with a white shroud

While it might not pack a performance punch of the Geforce GTX 980 Ti, ASUS is apparently preparing a new graphics card oriented more at mainstream market, the custom Geforce GTX 950 OC.

To be available under GTX950-OC-2GD5 model name, the new ASUS GTX 950 OC has been spotted by Guru3D.com and is based on ASUS' Auto-Extreme Technology with Super Alloy Power II components, custom dual-fan cooler with white shroud and a decent factory-overclock.

Based on Nvidia's GM206 Maxwell GPU, the Geforce GTX 950 packs 768 CUDA cores, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs as well as a 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. While the reference Gefoce GTX 950 is clocked at 1024MHz base and 1188MHz GPU Boost clocks with memory running at 6.6GHz, ASUS has decided to give its new GTX 950 OC a decent factory overclock to 1102MHz GPU base and 1253MHz GPU Boost clocks while the memory was pushed to 6.61GHz.

ASUS has also equipped the new GTX 950 OC with a custom dual-fan with white shroud which will not only provide two times higher airflow and three times quieter operation but also look well with ASUS' new Z170 white-themed motherboards.

The rest of the features are pretty much standard as it appears to need a single 6-pin PCI-Express connector for power and features standard DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
