Silverstone announces new Strider Platinum PSUs

In 550W, 650W and 750W versions

Silverstone has released its newest Strider Platinum PSU series that will feature a compact and fully-modular design, 80 Plus Platinum efficiency and be available in 550W, 650W and 750W outputs.

According to Silverstone, the new Strider Platinum PSU series is aimed at those looking for compact but high-efficient and quiet power supply unit. What makes the new Silverstone Strider Platinum PSU series quite interesting is its shorter 140mm design, making it suitable even for smaller cases. The precise dimensions are set at 150x86x140mm.

Despite its compact design, the Strider Platinum PSU series features 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rating offering at up to 94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load at 220V and up to 92 percent at 50 percent load at 115V.

The rest of the specfications include a fully-modular design, single +12V rail pumping out 62.5A on 750W, 54.2A on the 650W and 45.9A on the 550W model, 24/7 continuous power output and 3% voltage regulation with low ripple/noise and an ultra-silent 120mm bottom-placed fan that does not spin up under 20 percent load.

According to Silverstone, the new Strider Platinum series offers highest power density with 415W per liter on the 750W model. It also comes with all the usual protections and an active PFC.

The new Silverstone Strider Platinum series will be available as of October 19th with a price set at €109,90 for the 550W model, €119,90 for the 650W model and €137,90 for the 750W model.
