MSI has announced two new motherboards based on smaller form-factors, the MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC mini-ITX and Z170 Express chipset and the B150M Night Elf motherboard based on mATX form-factor and Intel's B150 Express chipset.
Made as an ultimate mini-ITX gaming motherboard, the MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC is based on Intel's high-end Z170 Express chipset and supports Intel's latest 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs.
In addition to two standard DIMM DDR4 memory slots, a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, integrated dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, Gigabit Etherent, one SATA Express 10Gbps and four SATA 6Gbps ports, MSI has also equipped the Z170I Gaming Pro AC motherboard with an Turbo M.2 32Gbps port on the backside of the motherboard.
The new MSI B150M Night Elf is based on an entry-level B150 Express chipset but still packs plenty of gaming oriented and high-end features, including DDR4 Boost technology, SteeArmor reinforced PCI-Express slots, Gaming LAN, Audio Boost 3 and red LED illumination on the side of the motherboard.
The list of specifications include four DDR4 memory slots, two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (working in x16/x4 mode), two PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots, six SATA 6Gbps ports, six USB 3.1 ports, 7.1-channel Audio Boost 3 with isolated audio PCB and high quality audio caps, Intel Gigabit Ethernet and Military Class 4 components, all packed on a micro-ATX form factor.
Unfortunately, MSI did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date for any of these two motherboards but you can expect them on retail/e-tail shelves quite soon.
