Nvidia Shield 2 tablet rumored

Coming with 8-core Tegra X1 SoC

Nvidia has been quite focused on its Shield lineup and newest rumors suggest that the new Shield 2 tablet is coming with Tegra X1 SoC and 8-inch 1920x1200 screen.

According to reports coming from Techno Buffalo and PC Advisor UK sites, Nvidia Shield 2 tablet will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, have Nvidia's latest Tegra X1 SoC 8-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and feature an 8-inch 1920x1200 screen. The battery life rumors suggest around 10 hours of video playback and web browsing.

What is more important is that Shield 2 tablet will offer 4K display output and have dual 5-megapixel rear cameras, and two front facing speakers. The rest of the specifications include micro USB port, microSD card slot and mini-HDMI output.

The rumored price is set at US $299 for the WiFi only Shield 2 tablet which does not sound too bad either.
