Intel Swift Canyon NUC running at IDF 2015

With HyperX DDR4 and HyperX Predator SSD

While we have already seen some details regarding upcoming Skylake-U powered NUCs earlier this year, the same system, codename Swift Canyon, has been spotted at IDF 2015 at Kingston's booth, running with HyperX DDR4 memory and Predator M.2 PCIe SSD.

Earlier this year we had a chance to see some official slides which suggested that Intel's new Skylake-U powered Swift Canyon NUCs could be coming in the second half of this year and today, Legitreviews.com managed to get some pictures of that same system running at Kingston's booth at IDF 2015, together with 16GB of HyperX DDR4 memory and HyperX Predator M.2 SSD.

While it could be based on both the Core i3-6100U or Core i5-6200U Skylake-U CPUs, since both will be available in new Intel Swift Canyon NUCs and both are clocked at 2.3GHz, the pictured NUC at IDF 2015 shows a bit more details regarding the system, including some impressive hardware like Kingston's HyperX DDR4 Predator memory kit and HyperX Predator M.2 SSD as well as some details regarding the connectivity which includes HDMI and mini DisplayPort 1.2 outputs, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, 802.11ac WiFi with Bluetooth and more.

The Kingston HyperX Impact 16GB kit was running at 2133MHz with CL 13-13-13-35 latency which is quite impressive and it is important to note that the system supports up to 32GB of RAM.

Unfortunately, there are no details on when these will be available as currently we only know that they are coming sometime later this year. As leaked earlier, new Skylake-U based Swift Canyon NUCs will be available with Core i5 CPU (NUC6i5SYK/NUC6i5SYH) and with Core i3 CPU (NUC6i3SYK/NUC3i5SYH).
