Microsoft has launched its newest Windows 10 OS in less than three weeks ago and it appears that it managed to get over 53 million installs.
While 53 million might sound like much bear in mind that this is just 4.95 percent of the market share. On the other hand, this is not a bad result considering that it has been around for just under three weeks.
According to StatCounter, at its peak, Windows 10 OS was being installed on about 1500 systems per second.
According to details over at NetMarketshare, Windows 10 OS held 13.09 percent of the market share at the end of July and OS X 10.10 held around 4.74 percent, which means that Windows 10 OS is not doing half bad. According to the same source, Windows 7 OS is still a king with 60.75 percent of the market share and even XP is not doing bad with 11.74 percent.
Microsoft's Windows 10 will probably do good, mostly thanks to Microsoft's decision to give it as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users.
