While Google might took everyone by surprise when it announced that Google will be just a part of a new company called Alphabet, it appears that the company did not Google the name properly as BMW owns Alphabet.com and does not want to sell it to Google.

While the abc.xyc domain might sound cool, everyone assumed that there will be Alphabet.com website at some point in time, but it appears Alphabet.com takes you to a BMW Group-owned business mobility solution. While currently not accessible as it is being crushed by traffic, it appears that BMW also owns the Alphabet trademark.

A BMW spokeperson said that the company was not informed that Google plans to create Alphabet company and that BMW has not received any offers from Google, but that the company has no plans in selling the domain.

At least for now, Google's Alphabet will be sticking to abc.xyz domain.
