ASUS Radeon R9 Fury hits impressive overclocking

1400MHz on the GPU and 1.0GHz for HBM

It has apparently taken some time for overclockers to get a hang of AMD's new Fiji chip and while Radeon R9 Fury X was not big on overclocking, the recently launched Radeon R9 Fury actually is and can be even unlocked to Radeon R9 Fury X. Team Pure, Xtreme Addict overclocker managed to achieve some rather impressive overclock of 1400MHz for the GPU and 1000MHz for memory on its ASUS R9 Fury and has even released a neat guide with plenty of tips.

Posted over at HWBOT.org site, Xtreme Addict not only managed to unlock its ASUS R9 Fury to Fury X, but also pushed it quite high under LN2, to 1450MHz and 1000MHz HBM clock when running without the unlock and to 1400MHz for the GPU and 1000MHz HBM when unlocked, scoring 9634 in 3DMark Firestrike Extreme test in the first scenario and 10033 in the same test when the card was unlocked, showing that all those 4096 Stream Processors and 256 TMUs are active.

The same overclocker also revealed plenty of tips in case you are going to overclock the Radeon R9 Fury under LN2 and this feat also shows that ASUS STRIX R9 Fury is definitely a special graphics card, at least when it comes to overclocking.
