Who is behind the memory brand Klevv?

SK Hynix is on the same boat

In the past few years "Gaming" has become an important buzzword in the hardware industry. Countless brands have emerged and still are emerging. By far not all of these brands managed to win gamers hearts. At a first glance it looks like Klevv is yet another gaming/modding brand, when it comes to high-end memory, but a closer look at where this company has its origin shows, that there is a serious player behind.

The company behind Klevv is no other than Essencore, which like SK Hynix is part of the SK C&C Holding Group. As we already mentioned, one could be under the impression that Klevv is just another gaming memory maker, but since the company has direct access to chips from SK Hynix, that does change things a little bit. Apart from that Essencore/Klevv not only benefits from direct access to chips and technologies there are also sales channels in place, which can be used to push new products to the market.

In the long run the physical proximity to chips is going to be a big advantage when it comes to pricing. If we look at what Klevv memory costs today, we see that their by for not the most competitive brand. Nevertheless with sales increasing it will be easier for Klevv to score great deals with SK Hynix than other memory vendors.

Next to the fact, that pricing should be interesting soon with Klevv modules and kits, the vendors does have some stunning looking products in its portfolio. The heatspreaders are of exceptionally high quality and there are also rather quick kits specced at DDR3-2400-C11. This for example makes the Klevv Genuine line attractive for modders and enthusiasts and we're sure to see some great builds with memory modules from Klevv in the near future. Apart from that these modules are also interesting for system integrators with a focus on high-end.

Last week we've had a close look at the Klevv Genuine DDR3-2400 C11 Kit. If you want to know what this kit was capable of, we recommend the following article:
