Minecraft sells over 20 million units on PC, Mac

Sold over 10k in last 24 hours

It appears that Microsoft certainly knows how to pick them as Mojang has announced that it sold over 20 million copies of Minecraft on PC and Mac.

To make things even more impressive, Mojang also announced that it managed to sell over 10,000 units in last 24 hours. It appears that a deal where Microsoft bought Mojang for US $2.5 billion is good for the game as PC sales were at around 14 million last February.

While there was no update for total sales across all platform, bear in mind that those were at 54 million in June last year, so we are quite sure PC and the rest of the platforms pushed that number a bit higher.

Microsoft has also showcased Minecraft with its HoloLens AR headset earlier this year and it is obvious that this is the main target for Microsoft when it comes to Minecraft.
