AMD Radeon R9 Fury X AIO liquid-cooler detailed

Full liquid cooling system

While we already knew that AMD switched from hybrid cooling system used on the R9 295X2 to a full AIO liquid-cooling system on the R9 Fury X, we did not get a clearer look behind the shroud, until now that is.

According to both the official AMD slides as well as pictures of the R9 Fury X taken during AMD's E3 2015 press conference, the Radeon R9 Fury X features a rather impressive cooling system.

As you can see from the picture below, the VRM part of the graphics card is actually cooled by a copper pipe which is directly connected to the 120mm radiator, while the GPU package, which now includes both the GPU and memory, which is stacked next to the GPU, is cooled by a single block.

According to AMD's official slide, the temperature under typical gaming scenario is around 50 degrees, while the used 120mm fan should produce below 32dBA of noise.

All we have to do now is wait for 24th of June when we should see some of the first Radeon R9 Fury X reviews.
