G.Skill has showcased its newest Phoenix Blade PCI-Express 3.0 SSD during Computex 2015 show in Taipei.

Pictured by Techpowerup.com, the upcoming new G.Skill Phoenix Blade PCIe SSD is based on Phison PS5007-E7 controller paired up with MLC NAND flash memory and features a native PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface.

G.Skill showcased the 960GB version during Computex 2015 and the new Phoenix Blade SSD should be the direct successor of the Phoenix Blade PCI-Express 2.0 x8 SSD based on four SF-2281 SSD controllers in RAID0 setup, launched back last year.

According to first results, the new G.Skill Phoenix Blade PCIe SSD offers sequential performance of up to 2600MB/s for read and up to 1400MB/s for write with 4K random performance of up to 300,000 IOPS for read and up to 200,000 IOPS for write.

G.Skill clearly wants to compete with Intel's SSD 750 series and promises competitive prices for its new Phoenix Blade PCIe SSD lineup.
