Powercolor announces new Devil HDX sound card

Joins the audio game

Powercolor, a company well known for its AMD Radeon graphics cards, has unveiled its new addition to the product lineup, a PCI-Express based Devil HDX sound card.

Based on C-Media CMI8888 chip with Wolfson WM8741 primary DAC, the Devil HDX provides 124/120dBA SNR and also includes TI LM4562 OPAMP changeable amplifier.

It has 600 Ohm impedance support for headphones, supports stereo RCA output, 7.1-channel optical SPDIF and needs a single 4-pin Molex power connector. In case RCA or SPDIF are not enough, it also comes with 6.3mm headphone jack and additional daughter-board with standard analog outputs with 3.5mm jacks.

Unfortunately, Powercolor did not announce the precise price or the availability date but we guess we will hear more about it during Computex 2015 show.
