15 percent smaller
In addition to two new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung has unveiled its new Gear VR Innovator Edition virtual reality headset at its Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.
Designed to be used with the new Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones and taking full advantage of that 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD resolution screen, the new Gear VR is actually 15 percent smaller than the original Gear VR for Note 4 and is also lighter.
It also comes with a USB port and a redesigned strap system which should make the headset a bit more comfortable, according to Samsung.
The new Gear VR Innovator Edition for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone should be available in April, or just as Galaxy S6 are released.
