One of the first smartwatch makers, Pebble, has posted a countdown on its website few days ago and according to recent rumors, we will see a new Pebble smartwatch tomorrow, one with a color display.
Unlike earlier Pebble smartwatch models that have been based on a black and white e-paper display, the new 2015 model should be based on a color display. According to
a report from 9to5Mac, citing sources familiar with the matter, Pebble has been working on both new hardware and software that should be seen tomorrow. Same report suggest that new Pebble smartwatch will not only be wider but also use a color e-paper style display with an improved backlight.
The new smartwatch is also rumored to have a thinner profile and use a faster Cortex M4 SoC with a six-axis gyroscope and even have a similar battery life like current generation models despite its slimmer design and better display.
Same reports also suggest that Pebble has completely redesigned the Pebble OS, by the same team that that was behind WebOS.
The expected price of the new 2015 Pebble model should be similar to Pebble Steel, which currently sells for US $199.
