Slightly Mad Studios announced that it has once again delayed its upcoming Project Cars game from the original March 20th launch date to April 2nd. Originally scheduled to launch in November last year, the game was earlier delayed to March 20th, and now to April 2nd. According to a publisher Bandai Namco, the game was delayed for "final adjustments in the game that are required to provide fans with the best gaming experience they can have," which is what we recently usually get as an explanation for delays.
Ian Bell, Head of Studio at Slightly Mad Studios, said that moving the launch date was not an easy decision but that those extra days will allow them to provide the best game experience that fans of the game deserve. He also assured that the wait will be worth it when the game arrives in early April.
We have already seen some rather impressive in-game graphics from earlier gameplay videos and screenshots taken from the pre-release version of the game, but another delay is definitely not something that makes us happy.
In Europe, Project Cars will launch on April 2nd for both the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, while in the rest of the world, the console version will launch on April 7th.
