Following the success of its earlier released mini-ITX GTX 670 Mini and the GTX 760 Mini graphics cards, ASUS has now added the new Geforce GTX 960 Mini graphics card, based on Nvidia's latest GM206 Maxwell GPU.
Based on the same 17cm long PCB and needing only a single 6-pin PCI-Express power connector, the new ASUS Geforce GTX 960 Mini, model name GTX960-MOC-2GD, features a dual-slot design with a single CoolTech fan, a hybrid design with both inner radial and outer flower-type blades, providing multi-directional airflow.
Despite the fact that it is based on a shorter PCB, the new ASUS GTX 960 Mini is factory-overclocked to 1190MHz for the GPU base, 1253MHz for the GPU boost clocks while 2GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 128-bit memory interface, ended up at reference 7.0GHz.
In case you missed it earlier, the Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 graphics card is based on the latest 28nm GM206 Maxwell GPU and packs 1024 CUDA cores, 64 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The reference clocks for the GTX 960 are set at 1127MHz for the GPU base, 1178MHz for the GPU Boost clock, while 2GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 128-bit memory interface, is clocked at 7.0GHz.
ASUS also decided to keep the same display output configuration offering single DVI, single HDMI 2.0 and three DisplayPort 1.2 outputs.
Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date, but a quick check shows it listed in Europe at around €230, depending on the region and retailer/e-tailer, with availability set in around 2-3 weeks.
