Thermaltake has updated its Toughpower power supply lineup with the new ToughPower Grand series that will be available in versions with outputs ranging from 650W to 1200W and offer fully modular and single +12V rail design as well as be 80PLUS Platinum certified.
The new Thermaltake Toughpower Grand PSU series is 80PLUS Platinum certified which means it will offer up to 89 to 92 percent efficiency at any load as well as have a fully modular cable design with flat modular cables that should help with general airflow and lower the system cable clutter.
The rest of the specifications include a single +12V rail design, 100% high quality Japanese capacitors and a 140mm bottom placed fan for cooling which should produce no more than 20dB of noise.
As noted earlier, the new Thermaltake Toughpower Grand PSU Series will be available in 650W, 750W 850W, 1050W and 1200W versions. Pumping out a massive 100A on a +12V rail, the 1200W model with eight 6+2-pin PCI-Express connectors will certainly be a favorite choice for high-end systems.
Unfortunately, Thermaltake did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but since these are already on Thermaltake's website, you can expect them on retail shelves soon.
