MSI unveils the B85M Night Elf motherboard

Only for the Chinese market

Sometime, we just have to wonder what some manufacturer had in mind when designing a product. This is clearly the case with the new ATX motherboard that MSI reserved for the Chinese market, the B85M Night Elf. As this might work in the Chinese market, we are not sure it would do well in Europe or the USA.

This motherboard, which seems to be a fake, but will be a reality, is the latest addition to MSI's motherboard lineup based on Intel's B85 chipset. A µATX motherboard with backlight which bears the name of the B85M Night Elf.

Behind this elf picture which looks like it was taken from World of Warcraft game, we find a really simple motherboard equipped with four DIMM DDR3-1600 slots, a PCIe x16 port, two PCIe x1, six SATA III ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a Killer LAN E2000 chip, and an audio solution with Audio Boost and EMI shielding.

The most amazing is the backlight, named "Wisps of Light" that will surely get noticed. The new motherboard has no price yet, but we are quite sure this one will not show up on the European market.
