It appears that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will not be getting a sequel, according to an official confirmation from Ubisoft.
While many certainly liked the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which was a rather big surprise, even for Ubisoft, it appears that there will not be a Blood Dragon version of the Far Cry 4, according to an official announcement from Ubisoft.
During the IGN Pubcast, Far Cry 4 Creative Director, Alex Hutchinson, which is well known for its statement that "resolution is certainly not something" he cares about in a game, said that "The cool thing about Blood Dragon was that it was a surprise. It was a great use of the Far Cry 3 base, and had an awesome soundtrack. So the answer is no, you won't be getting another one of those. Hopefully we can come up with something that surprises you as much as the original Blood Dragon".
In order to heat things up a bit more, he also added that: ""And if we did make one, I'd probably get told on Twitter 'are we going to get a Blood Dragon every year? You're just in a factory churning things out."
