Motorola's 2014 Moto x smartphone is definitely an impressive smartphone and it appears that it will also be the first smartphone to get the latest Android 5.0 Lolipop OS update.
To make things worse for everyone else, including Google, Motorola 2014 Moto X Pure Edition even managed to beat Google's own Nexus devices by getting the update earlier. According to latest information, Motorola has pulled the Android 5.0 Lolipop update for the Moto X Pure Edition but some lucky user managed to get their smartphone updated.
Currently, HTC-made Nexus 9 is the only device on the market with Android 5.0, since the Nexus 6 is really not yet available. Google might have pushed Motorola to hold off with an update until they manage to update its own Nexus line of devices, including Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7.
Hopefully all other manufacturers will soon come up with their own updates and Android 5.0 Lolipop will be on most smartphones before the end of this year.
