HP unveils a new gaming laptop

Here comes the 15-inch HP OMEN

HP has released a new range of laptops dedicated to gaming and also revealed a rather interesting 15-inch laptop named the OMEN.

This is not the first time that HP puts components suitable for a gamer in a laptop, but on the OMEN, even the keyboard is specifically designed for a gamer.

The new HP OMEN is a 15.6-inch laptop equipped with a Full HD IPS touchscreen, has dimensions set at 382.9 x 247.5 x 19.9 mm and weighs 2.12 kg. Inside, there is an Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU running at 2.5/3.5GHz, a maximum of 16 GB DDR3L-1600 and a Nvidia GTX 860M graphics card, which will be available with 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5 memory. For storage, it will be possible to choose between 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB SSD capacities.

What makes it particularly suited to satisfy the needs of a gamer is its keyboard which includes six programmable macro keys. One thing rarely offered on laptops. It is already available in the USA, with a start price of $1499 and the European version should be coming soon.
