During the BeatIT 2014 event, MSI has unveiled a new and limited edition-edition Geforce GTX 970 Gold graphics card. Based on pretty much the same design as the MSI GTX 970 Gaming graphics card, the Gold version has a pure-copper heatsink and a different color scheme.
As noted
by KitGuru.net, the new MSI Geforce GTX Gold graphics card is probably based on the same PCB design as the already available MSI GTX 970 Gaming graphics card but has a slightly different cooler design. It uses a pure-copper heatsink has exposed copper heatpipes and comes with a gold-orange color shroud scheme. The backplate also got slight redesign with unique vent patter and a gold dragon logo.
Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the actual clocks of the new GTX 970 Gold graphics card but we are sure that we will see a at least some factory-overclocking and a decent overclocking headroom.
MSI also still has to reveal how limited the new GTX 970 Gold will actually be and which regions will actually get the new graphics card, and when.
