Although we have already seen this motherboard as a base platform for breaking some of the recent overclocking records during MOA 2014, MSI has now officially announced the launch of its new MSI X99S MPower motherboard.
Coming after the high-end X99S XPower AC motherboard, the MSI X99S MPower is designed for overclockers and enthusiasts demanding the highest performance, best stability and plethora of OC features.
As noted, the MSI X99S MPower has already proved its worth with 26 world records with Intel's latest HEDT CPUs. It features a bunch of overclocking friendly tools including V-Check Points 2, CeaseFire Lite, Go2BIOS and DirectOC buttons. Thanks to the OC Engine, the MSI X99S MPower motherboard features a next generation clock Generator for more flexible BCLK adjustments (from 100 / 125 / 167 MHz) and it is OC Certified with military-class burn-in test by running Prime95 for 24 hours.
As far as the specifications and the rest of the features are concerned, the MSI X99S MPower is based on Intel's X99 Express chipset, features four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (16/8,16,8,8), two PCI-Express x1 slots, eight DDR4 memory slots with support for up to 3333MHz (OC), single Intel Gigabit LAN, ten SATA3 ports, quad Multi-GPU support, OC Essentials, Turbo M.2 32 Gb/s, SATA Express and Audio Boost.
Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the actual release date but it did reveal that the new X99S MPower motherboard will be available with a price set at €239. More information about the board can be found via the link below.
