We already knew that Samsung's new 850 EVO SSD was coming in near future and today, we have a first listing of the 1TB version in the US, with US $499.99 price tag and shipping date now set for November 24th.
The listing was
spotted by a member of EVGA forums, and the new Samsung 850 EVO 1TB model was listed
at Frys.com for US $499.99 with a November 3rd as shipping date, which suggested an imminent release. Since some of the press have picked up the story, Frys, probably pinged by Samsung, changed the shipping date to November 24th.
Earlier
Samsung "coming soon" teaser suggested that Samsung's newest 850 EVO SSD will be coming sometime in November, and our best bet is that Samsung will have it on retail/e-tail stores before Thanksgiving, or the famous Black Friday shopping spree.
According to earlier rumors, the new Samsung 850 EVO SSD should be based on Samsung's own 3-bit TLC 3D V-NAND flash memory paired up with an update Samsung triple-core controller.
Hopefully we will see the global launch pretty soon as holiday shopping season is closing in fast.
