Nvidia GTX Titan Z gets massive price cut

At Overclockers UK

When launched back in March 2014, Nvidia's GTX Titan Z beast was quite impressive but also had a rather hefty US $2999 price tag, making it far out of the reach of any mortal user. But now, "a couple of months later", it appears that some retailers/e-tailers are ready to dump them for about any price as the GTX Titan Z has been spotted at Overclockers UK with a price at of US $2415 (£1499.99).

While it is still a bit on the pricey side, bear in mind that we are talking about a graphics cards that is based on two fully-enabled GK110 GPUs with a total of 2880 CUDA cores, 240 TMUs and 48 ROPs as well as 6GB of GDDR5 memory per GPU. Earlier in August, there have been a couple of rumors that Nvidia has dropped the price of the GTX Titan Z down to US $1,830, but only for OEMs. It appears that this will be now extended to retailers/e-tailers as well.

While those looking to play games would most likely fare better with two GTX 980 graphics cards in SLI, Titan Z graphics card certainly has its appeal for some users.

In case you have been waiting for the price to drop, you might want to check out some of your favorite popular retailers/e-tailers as something tells us that Overclockers.co.uk might not be the only one to drop it.
