ASRock unveils the X99 Extreme11 motherboard

High-end Haswell-E motherboard

While it already have some impressive Intel X99 Express chipset based motherboard on the market, ASRock has now unveiled its high-end ASRock X99 Extreme11, the world's most powerful X99 motherboard, according to ASRock.


Packing quite a few high-end features including a high-end 12-phase VRM, eight DDR4-3400+ memory slots, five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots which allow quad SLI or quad Crossfire by running in full x16/x16/x16/x16 mode thanks to two PLX PE 8747 bridge chips, a total of 18 SATA 6Gbps ports (10 from Intel's X99 chipset and 8 from LSI SAS 3008 chip) as well as two Ultra M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 2.8GB/s slots.

The rest of the specifications and features include dual Intel Gigabit LAN, ASRock Purity Sound 2 plus Nichicon Fine Gold Series Audio capacitor combo intergrated audio, as well as ASRock exclusive features which are a part of ASRock's Super Alloy series, like XXL Aluminum Alloy Heatsinks, Nichicon 12K Platinum Caps, Premium 60A Power Chokes, Premium Memory Alloy Chokes, and Ultra Dual-N MOSFETs.

Unfortunately, ASRock did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date for the new ASRock X99 Extreme11 motherboard but we guess that such high-end features will come with a hefty price.
