Mushkin introduces Chronos G2 SSDs

Mushkin has announced the launch of its newest addition to the Chronos family of SSDs, the Chronos G2.

To be available in 60, 120, 240 and 480GB capacities, the new Chronos G2 SSDs are based on Sandforce SF-2000 series controller and offer sequential transfer speeds of up to 555MB/s for read and up to 535MB/s for write, depending on the model. The delivered random 4K write performance is at up to 90K IOPS, according to Mushkin.

The entire Chronos G2 SSD lineup is backed by a 3 year warranty, features standard SATA 6Gbps interface and uses standard 2.5-inch 7mm-thick form factor.

Unfortunately, Mushkin did not reveal any details regarding the price or the actual availability date for the new Chronos G2 SSD lineup.
