According to fresh leaked pictured we might soon see a reference liquid cooled version of the Geforce GTX 980 graphics card with Asetek AiO liquid cooler.
According to the picture posted by
Wccftech.com, it appears that Asetek has teamed up with Nvidia as well and created a solution that is quite similar to what we had a chance to see with the reference AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card.
The new water cooled graphics card still features the reference blower fan from Nvidia which will take care of the VRM and the memory, while the closed-loop water block which is connected to the radiator via two pipes will take care of the GPU. The top of the reference blower fan has been cut out in order to accomodate the pipes.
Currently, only the Japanese OEM Sycom will offer these graphics cards so it is still not clear if this is just Asetek's creation for that particular OEM or is Nvidia behind it as well but we guess we will hear more soon.
In any case, such version of the GTX 980 should have a decent factory-overclock as well as a hefty overclocking headroom.
