AMD could be announcing next-gen products soon

Marketing campaign points to September 25th

It was quite obvious that AMD will not be sitting on their hands after the recent launch of Nvidia's second-gen Maxwell GPU based Geforce GTX 970 and the GTX 980 graphics cards. With the new marketing campaign promising something new while AMD's Roy Taylor also tweeted a hint that something new is definitely coming.

The new teaser might be focused on either the new GPU or even a new FirePro graphics card, which still is not quite clear, but hopefully we will be looking at a new desktop GPU. AMD's Roy Taylor released a neat Tweet "Winston Churchill loved men who grinned when fighting. AMD relishes competition. You ain't seen nothing yet.", which suggest that AMD has an ace or two up its sleeve and that we will see something soon.

AMD has also launched a new marketing campaign with a teaser that launched just a day after Nvidia's announcement of the new Maxwell graphics cards. AMD is still using the same Verdetrol pills campaign that we had a chance to see back with the launch of the HD 7770 GHz Edition.

AMD still has to launch the Tonga XT based Radeon R9 285X, although recent rumors suggested that this one might be delayed or even completely canceled. AMD India also leaked a picture that suggests that some sort of announcement is coming on 25th of September so it might have something to do with this product.

While there is a big possibility that AMD will launch the new R9 285X, there is also a chance that we might see a new flagship product that we still have not heard about, or something related to the earlier leaked picture of Asetek's new cooling for a mystery AMD Radeon graphics card.

In any case, the 25th of September will stay marked on our calendar and we will certainly hold our ear close to the ground for more info.
