It appears that Nvidia is keeping its ear close to the ground when it comes to the launch price of its upcoming Geforce GTX 980 and the Geforce GTX 970 graphics cards as according to a fresh report and our sources, Nvidia AIB partners got a new price as of this morning.
According to
Wccftech.com, the new MSRP for the Geforce GTX 980 is set at US $549 while the Geforce GTX 970 will go for US $299. These new prices will suit Nvidia more with its current lineup as well as put a bit more pressure on AMD's Radeon graphics cards which have recently received a healthy price-cut.
We also asked around and according to our sources the price is not that low but rather set at US $329 for the Geforce GTX 970 and US $549 for the Geforce GTX 980, and this is what Nvidia sent out to its AIB partners this morning.
In any case we will know for sure when Nvidia officially launches the new GTX 980 and the GTX 970 graphics cards on September 18th, 7:30PM PDT, during its Game24 event.
