Back in June, MSI unveiled the first prototype of the new Twin Frozr V cooler during Computex, and today they showed the first CGI sketch of the next-generation cooling system, which should be featured on an upcoming Nvidia graphics card.
The new cooler features an aluminum heatsink with a great number of fins, five 8mm heatpipes which are in direct contact with the GPU, which should ensure maximum performance. Covering the heatsink are two 100mm fans which have been redesigned to increase the air-flow to noise ratio, thus, in the end, offering a more silent graphics card.
The CGI sketch released by MSI shows the cooler on an Nvidia graphics card with two 6-pin PCIe connectors and two Nvidia SLI connectors. This might actually be the new Nvidia Geforce GTX 980, which should be launched on 19th of September, based on the new GM204 chip with Maxwell architecture.
