SilverStone unveils a 1500W PSU

Small size and 80PLUS Gold Certification

SilverStone is making another attempt into the high-end power supply unit market, and they unveiled the new Strider Gold S 1500W, or ST1500-GS.

SilverStone already had a 1500W PSU in its portfolio, but we are talking about a 4 year old design: it's a Strider with 80Plus Silver certification, which is way bigger than the new Strider Gold S 1500W.

The new Strider Gold S 1500W measures 150x86x180mm, and it features a 135mm fan (18dBA minimum). It also feature a fully modular design, and in the box we find an ATX cable, two EPS cables (one 550mm and one 750mm long), 8 PCI-Express cables, 16 SATA connectors (4 cables with 4 connectors each), 6 Molex cables and 2 floppy.

The new Strider should be enough to power any kind of system, and with such high-end features the price must go accordingly: the MSRP is 254.90€, while the official release date is 20th August.
